Other Stuff
About Kevin
In high school he was deeply involved with
band as well as boy scouts. He received his first computer at
the age of 11 because his sister no longer needed it. With this
first computer he was free to screw it up with out ruining the
family computer.
In band he was involved with honor bands,
marching band, concert band, jazz band, pep band, band buddies,
and helping the band director with any computer problems he had.
In jazz band he was lead trumpet for two years, and received the
title Iowa Jazz State Champions for three years in a row. He
also received best soloist at Ankeny Marching Band Finals. Kevin
Made it into All State Band and made first alternate for the All
State Jazz Band his senior year.
Kevin has been involved with boy scouts since
second grade and still helps his local troop at a leader. He has
shown much leadership in his adventures to the boundary waters
in 2006, 2004, and 2002. Kevin has also received the
highest rank a scout can get, Eagle. For his Eagle project he
created a garden sanctuary around the statue of Mary at a local
Catholic school. It included a limestone path, raised flower
garden, a retaining wall, rose beds, exposed aggregate, five
engraved stone benches, and other memorials for various donors.
This was where Kevin learned how to deal with people and
business type situations. He received the title Eagle Scout on
February 20, 2006.
